Constitution

  • This document has been created in accordance with the rules and guidelines of the community Last Bastion Gaming and will govern its staff. This document should serve as a guide to all staff members as it states clearly all pertinent information to your functions.

    The constitution may only be amended by the CEO or Owner of the community. Prior notice should be given to all staff that the constitution is being amended. This document should be made available to all staff members upon request for viewing.

    Please read each article carefully.

  • The Last Bastion Gaming Staff Team will consist of Executive, Senior and Junior Staff in three departments, namely Operations, Administration and Technical Staff members as following:

  • This article outlines the powers of each level of staff member. It states their level of authorization in many instances and should serve as a guide:

    Owner and CEO:
    Both the Owner and CEO are given veto power in any situation and may amend the constitution as necessary.

    Chief Operations Officer:
    The COO may:
    • Promote, demote or suspend any senior or junior staff member, with reason
    • Appoint an Advisor to perform specific executive functions
    • Demand impromptu reports on role specific functions from any director, senior or junior staff member
    • Recruit staff members for any junior position, with the agreement of the respective department executive
    • Issue warning to any staff member for malperformance
    • Suspend any staff member with immediate effect, pending an investigation
    • Access and edit any and all operations related documents
    • Hold a staff rank on any server

    Chief Administration Officer:
    The CAO may:
    • Demand impromptu reports on financial and/or statistical progress from any director, senior or junior staff member
    • Suspend access of any staff member to the Last Bastion Gaming websites, teamspeak or servers, pending investigation
    • Recruit, promote, demote or suspend administrative staff
    • Issue warnings to any staff member for malperformance
    • Suspend any staff member with immediate effect, pending an investigation
    • View financial transactions of Last Bastion Gaming
    • Edit and maintain Last Bastion Gaming websites and teamspeak
    • Create, edit or remove donation packages as needed by Directors
    • Access and edit all administrative documents
    • Hold a staff rank on any server

    Chief Technical Officer:
    The CTO may:
    • Demand impromptu reports from any technical staff
    • Recruit, promote, demote or suspend technical staff
    • Issue warnings to any staff member for malperformance
    • Suspend any staff member with immediate effect, pending an investigation
    • Hold a staff rank on any server

    Director:
    The Director may:
    • Recruit, promote, demote or suspend any staff for his/her assigned server
    • Demand impromptu reports from any staff of his/her assigned server
    • Issue warnings to any staff member of his/her assigned server for malperformance
    • Suspend any staff member of his/her assigned server with immediate effect, pending an investigation
    • Hold any rank on his/her assigned server
    • Add or remove any addon/mod to his/her assigned server
    • Accept, deny or curate any post related to his/her assigned server, on the forums

    The powers of senior and junior staff may vary according to the assigned server and at the discretion of the assigned Director.
  • “I, ______________________ promise to carry out my duties as a staff member of Last Bastion Gaming with integrity and honor. I pledge to always act in the interest of the community and never for myself. I understand the importance of my role in the community and intend to carry out my duties to the best of my ability. I will follow all rules and guidelines read to me and will never act maliciously or vindictively to any member of this community or another. I pledge to be a mentor and role model of the community and always strive for better.

    I will not publicly disclose any information dispensed to me whether directly or indirectly about Last Bastion Gaming and its members. I will not publicly disclose any content given to me directly or indirectly that is the property of Last Bastion Gaming. This includes addons, documents, mods or any other custom content.

    I fully understand the rules and guidelines of Last Bastion Gaming and will uphold and enforce them to the best of my ability.”
  • General Rules
    1. Staff will never act maliciously towards any member of the community, regardless of personal interactions.
    2. Staff must be the guides and role models of the community and therefore must follow all rules of the community at all times.
    3. Staff must have the tag “[LB]” and no other in their steam name. No exceptions.
    4. Staff will never uses obscene language, racist, sexist or otherwise offensive language while dealing with players and/or on duty.
    5. All Staff must be registered on the forums. All Senior Staff must be actively handling the posts related to his/her own servers.
    6. Staff will not be a member of Staff on any other Garry's Mod server.
    7. Staff must inform their Director of any extended absence (more than 2 day consecutively) beforehand.
    8. Staff must attend all mandated meetings unless proper notice given beforehand.

    Roleplay Specific
    1. Staff will stay cloaked while no clipping AT ALL TIMES!
    2. Staff will NEVER physgun another player under any circumstance.
    3. Staff will not play other games and make every effort to be present, during the main event everyday, unless express pardon is given.
    4. Gamemasters must submit at least one event script to the planner per week.
    5. Gamemasters may only use donator or event jobs during events and with permission from the Director or above.
    6. Staff should not use staff powers while in character.
  • The following is a list of duties for each staff role. Note that Owner and CEO positions are not listed as they are the head administrative positions of the organisation.

    Chief Operations Officer:
    • Monitor all Directors
    • Ensure all servers meet their monthly goals (player and financial)
    • Ensure all Directors are trained and competent
    • Ensure all servers are adequately staffed
    • Act as Server Director when needed
    • Provide regular, role specific reports to the CEO
    • Any ad hoc duties given by the CEO or Owner

    Chief Administrative Officer:
    • Monitor and maintain the donation website
    • Monitor and maintain the forums and general website
    • Monitor all donation transactions
    • Monitor and maintain the teamspeak server
    • Provide regular, role specific reports to the CEO
    • Any ad hoc duties given by the CEO or Owner

    Chief Technical Officer:
    • Provide technical support for donation and main website
    • Provide technical support for teamspeak server as needed
    • Provide technical support to all directors as needed
    • Ensure all employed developers and freelancers are competent and able
    • Provide regular, role specific reports to the CEO
    • Any ad hoc duties given by the CEO or Owner

    Director:
    • Manage and maintain his assigned server
    • Recruit and monitor staff members for his assigned server regularly
    • Ensure his server is adequately staffed
    • Ensure a healthy player base for his assigned server
    • Ensure a healthy donation income for his assigned server; meeting at least the minimum monthly cost.
    • Mediate and resolve any conflict among players or between players and staff in an amicable and quiet manner
    • Constantly update his assigned server with wanted content
    • Interact regularly with players and staff to ensure needs are met
    • Provide regular, role specific reports to the CEO
    • Monitor all donations for his server and attempt to resolve possible chargeback cases
    • Enforce the listed staff rules
    • Any ad hoc duties assigned by the CEO or Owner

    Head Administrator:
    • Recruit and train staff member for his assigned department
    • Ensure staff are knowledgeable and efficient in skills specific to his department
    • Provide regular, role specific reports to the Director
    • Ensure his department is adequately staffed and efficient
    • Meet the requirements of the department at all costs
    • Train and regularly assess staff of his department
    • Any ad hoc duties given by the Director

    Super Administrator:
    • Assist and monitor all junior staff
    • Ensure all junior staff are equipped to perform their duties
    • Mediate and resolve any conflicts among players or between players and staff in an amicable and quiet manner
    • Act as an example and mentor to all junior staff
    • Provide regular, role specific reports to the Head Admin
    • Assist in the planning and execution of events
    • Function as a gamemaster when needed
    • Any ad hoc duties given by the Director

    Senior Administrator:
    • Observe players and junior staff on the server
    • Respond in a timely manner to player reports
    • Resolve all player conflicts in an amicable and quiet manner
    • Encourage players to join and play on the server
    • Provide regular, role specific reports to the assigned Head Admin
    • Any ad hoc duties assigned by the Director

    Administrator:
    • Observe players on the server
    • Respond in a timely manner to player reports and report to higher staff
    • Resolve all player conflicts in an amicable and quiet manner and report to higher staff
    • Facilitate player requests by reporting them to higher staff
    • Encourage players to join and play on the server

    Senior Moderator/Moderator:
    • Observe players on the server
    • Respond in a timely manner to player reports and report to higher staff
    • Resolve all player conflicts in an amicable and quiet manner and report to higher staff
    • Facilitate player requests by reporting them to higher staff
    • Encourage players to join and play on the server

    Gamemaster:
    • Plan, prepare and execute main events at the set time
    • Regularly interact with players to ensure their enjoyment
    • Facilitate dialogue between gamemaster and players to get event ideas
    • Prepare and execute regular mini events
    • Ensure Steam Group posts are made before every main event
    • Provide regular, role specific reports to the assigned Head Admin
    • Any ad hoc duties assigned by the Director

    Recruiter:
    • Actively search for and interview prospective members of staff as needed
    • Regularly interact with players to ensure their enjoyment
    • Facilitate dialogue between staff and members
    • Provide regular, role specific reports to the assigned Head Admin
    • Any ad hoc duties assigned by the Director

    Media Administrator:
    • Actively post pertinent content to the social media profiles, forums and steam group of Last Bastion Gaming
    • Regularly interact with players to ensure their enjoyment
    • Facilitate dialogue between staff and members
    • Provide regular, role specific reports to the assigned Head Admin
    • Any ad hoc duties assigned by the Director
  • Monthly Reports are an important part of any organization’s functions. As such, every Executive Position is required to provide reports upon request by the CEO or Owner. Role specific reports are listed below. It should be noted that any Executive Staff can be asked to do any type of report at any given time, even outside of those specified below.

    Chief Operating Officer:
    • Analysis of all directors and their assigned servers
    • Progress on staff competency
    • Server Analysis

    Chief Administration Officer:
    • Updates on the maintenance of website, teamspeak and donation website as needed
    • Donation statistics and trends per server

    Chief Technical Officer:
    • Updates on any projects in development
    • Updates on the development of website, teamspeak and donation website as needed
    Director:
    • Staff and Server report (development, updates etc.)
    • Staff roster
    • Report on playerbase and donations
    • Income v.s. Expenditure
  • The disciplinary committee shall consist of the Owner, CEO and COO. They will be the governing body for the staff team and shall convene on any disciplinary matter regarding Last Bastion Gaming’s Staff according to the following guidelines:

    • Staff members will function on a 2 warn system
    • Any staff member receiving more than 2 official warnings by their director or an executive staff member shall be required to appear before the disciplinary committee.
    • Any staff member accused of a serious offense should be suspended immediately, pending an appearance before the disciplinary committee.
    • At least two members of the disciplinary committee must be present for it to convene.
    • No senior staff or executive staff can be demoted without first appearing before the disciplinary committee.
    • Any staff member found negligent or in breach of the community’s rules and guidelines can be brought forward to the disciplinary committee by their director for assessment.
    • Any decision made by the disciplinary committee is final.
    • Any staff member who feels that a decision made by their director, a senior staff member or an executive staff member (inclusive of the COO, CEO or Owner) is unfair or malicious can appeal to the disciplinary committee. This does not include a previous ruling made by the committee.
    • Any Executive Staff member being investigated by the disciplinary committee will have all of his/her permissions removed until the investigation is concluded.
  • Messenger:
    Communication is a key concept in functioning as a member of staff. In order to ensure effective communication we require you to obtain Whatsapp Messenger for mobile. This application allows the staff members to receive alerts and messages in real time. Send a message to Church at +18682904968 and you will be added to group chat.
    (This is compulsory for Clone Wars Rp staff ONLY. The method of communication used per server is dependent on the director)

    Events:
    Each gamemaster/event planner is required to present at least one event idea per week to the Gamemaster. The written event must be a fair effort and to the best of your ability. Gamemasters will make necessary changes for successful implementation. All staff, regardless of department is encouraged to submit event ideas.

    Teamspeak 3:
    A pivotal aspect of functioning as a staff member on Last Bastion is the use of TS3. You must download TS3 and have a headset and mic available. This is required to communicate with other staff members as well as players. You must speak english fluently.

    Hangouts:
    All Executive Staff is required to use Hangouts for easy communication. Important server information is posted in this chat as well as updates and support.
  • By applying for a staff position on Last Bastion Gaming you are agreeing that you will put the health of the server and the happiness of the players first. It is a great responsibility to be a member of staff and you will be rewarded accordingly. We strive to make the best environment for our players and this is done through the staff time. We hope that you can balance fun and responsibility.
