Name of your suggestion:
SCP Queue Selection

Type of your suggestion (gameplay change, new SCP, etc.):
Round Mechanic

Description of your suggestion:
In TF2's "Freak Fortress" gamemode, players must fight against a singular boss player chosen based on their total "queue points" in the server. The queue points accumulate across rounds and are given for surviving the round, playing a full round, or beating the boss. At the beginning of the round, the player with the most Queue Points is chosen to be the boss. When a player is chosen to be the boss, their Queue Points reset, and they are moved to the bottom of the queue.

I believe this is how SCPs should be selected on our server. Considering the base gamemode awards points for completing tasks such as escaping, killing opposing players, surviving the round, etc, I believe these points should serve as our Queue Points. As per the Queue Selection in TF2, the players with the highest Queue Points would be selected to play as SCPs each round, and their Queue Points would be reset immediately when the round begins. Points should stay with a player when they leave to encourage rejoining.

How will your suggestion benefit the server?:
This mechanic is an addition that no other server has at the moment. As of now, the SCP selection system is completely random and unbalanced/unfair. The chance of being an SCP is very low due to the fact that players can be selected repeatedly to play SCPs. In a 69 player slot server, this addition would benefit us greatly.

Resources required to make this suggestion possible:
The code from the TF2 Freak Fortress Gamemode may help.

Any other comments you could give us regarding this suggestion:
Thank you for your consideration!

Why is everyone close-minded to this idea?
It's been done before
One of the first servers to host the original Breach Gamemode had major modifications to the role selection for not only SCPs, but every other class as well.
The server in question has been down for months due to lack of any other basic improvement to the server (Especially since it wasn't a 24/7 dedicated server), but the Role Selection System that it had was definitely an innovation that SHOULD have carried onto other servers.

So keep an open mind! If it has been done once, it can be done again.

The problem isn't a open mind or anything like that, our particular server has some crappy code management making it difficult to add mechanics to the game. Ripper has complained about this a lot which is why there will be a server rewrite in order to organize the messy files.

I think this is a great idea, a suggestion to add to your suggestion would be that VIPs receive more queue points. It would give many people a reason to donate who aren't really SCPs ever.

I agree with this, the additional queue points should be a default value which would be a percentage based on how much they donated

Your suggestion has been taken into consideration by those whom are reviewing the feasibility of users suggestions within the LB SCP Breach community. This is most certainly a possibility; however, this is not assured.

With the gamemode in its current state this would only be feasible after the re-write of the mode pending more community feedback this suggestion will be placed on hold.

I think this is pointless. ... Also useful.

Name of your suggestion: SCP 625 "Anklebiters"

Type of your suggestion (gameplay change, new SCP, etc.): It is an SCP that is 1 tiny rat like creature (Similar to headcrabs in regular Gmod) that would be playable Link is here http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-625

Description of your suggestion:The ankle biters are like head crab sized rodents with large mouths that are very silent and deadly. They secrete a venom that would act as a neurotoxin that numbs the pain so it wouldn't be felt meaning people would never feel them biting them causing them to die of bloodloss, so ingame You would only see your HP bar lower, you wouldnt hear noise or have pain indicating them. They would spawn either some where in heavy containment or in the glass cell area meant for contained class d's as punishment

How will your suggestion benefit the server?: It will prove to make the game more interesting and even more enjoyable to play as a much different character rather than the usual loud and large SCPs.

Resources required to make this suggestion possible: Quality coding, possibly the head crab model or like a naked mole rat here http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=797593784&searchtext=rat
Or like the tasmanian devil but it would look rodent like http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=745186008

Any other comments you could give us regarding this suggestion: That this could make a huge improvement towards the betterment of the game. And if you have any questions please ask.

Bonfire wants the server to become closer to the original game, a way to give more horror elements to the game while keeping it fun for everyone. The best way we can do this is by making it more lore based.

Below are some of my ideas to achieve this. If you have an idea you would like to add or something that you don't like on my list go ahead and reply to this thread. I will try my best to add or help add most of the ideas on this list.

  • SCPs

  1. SCP-682 is a being so menacing that it should be it's own boss round. Enlarge his model set him against mtf unit: Omega 7 "Pandora's Box" (read further).
  2. SCP-106 has control over his entire dimension, limit the amount of people he can capture and then allow him to move back and forth from reality to pocket. When he touches those in his dimension they die immediately.
  3. SCP-173 shouldn't be allowed to blind people. Instead we should make vents where touching said vents will allow 173 to move to another area unseen. Of course the fast travel will be delayed based on distance between the two locations and 173 won't pop out of the vent unless no one is looking.
  4. SCP-966 shouldn't blind people, there isn't a single place where it says that he does so in the first place. (I have an idea as to what he should really do but as I don't know how feasible it is I will wait until the rewrite to try and implement.)
  • Foundation Staff
  1. Researchers should have various subclasses; Dr. Bright, Dr. King, Dr. Clef, Chaos Insurgency, etc...
  2. Chaos Insurgency are more like spies not straight up military units, thus is why I want them under the researcher class.
  3. Researchers shouldn't be focused on escaping and should be focused on going to a "safe zone", to wait for mtf units.
  4. Class D personnel should be focused on chaos and escape, a type of rebellion against the researchers.
  5. Guards should be more defenseless, normally guards would be leading researchers to safe zones and fending off the escapees. They should only have a pistol at max.
  6. Chaos Insurgency should be with the researchers focusing on helping SCPs and killing the guards. This doesn't mean that the SCPs will help them too.
  7. Mobile Task Forces should enter after a few min of chaos, any un-escorted researchers that are attempting to escape should be shot on sight (this is how it would be in the actual lore) as well as any Class D. The amount of mtf units as well as their skills should be based on which one they are [see below]
  8. SCPs should be focused on their function. SCP-173/Kill people; SCP-106/Kill people and escape; SCP-049/Cure people; SCP-035 escape; etc...
  9. D Class should have makeshift weapons like pipes or shards. -Alex
  • The map
  1. The most dangerous areas should be the heavy containment zone and the maintenance tunnels (if we get those).
  2. The safe zones should be in the heavy containment area.
  3. The escape zones should be the outside gates, a car for the researchers, a path to the outside for the Class D and SCPs.
  • The game
  1. The boss round should be a giant 682 against Mobile Task Force Ω-7 "Pandora's Box". The mtf units should be trying to incapacitate 682 while 076 tries hacking away at it's flesh in order to re-contain him.
  2. The zombie plague round should have Mobile Task Force Β-7 "Maz Hatters" against the plague. The actual round should play out regularly.
  3. The regular game have Mobile Task Force E-11 "Nine Tailed Fox" as normal, however there should only be nine players. 2 Snipers, 2 Scouts, 2 Heavy Weapon Men, 2 Elites, and a Commander. The commander should use the others to secure the facility while the others keep each other alive. If they die the researchers are to be notified at which point they are allowed to escape by themselves.
Everyone is free to add to this and I encourage it.

All of these ideas sound cool! Maybe now there could be a way to contain the SCPs like they do in the game with 173. And possibly a CI or D Class could disrupt the capturing, or release the SCP again.

That is something that i was thinking as well
when the SCP is released the player is re-spawned, maybe allowing another player to take over

Really good ideas as I seem myself similar to Bonfire, wanting everything near the realism. What I suggest is add a few more melee weapons for the Class D (Pipes, makeshift stuff etc.) alongside make what has stated above, some safe zones which should have some kind of heavy gates alongside first aid kits and protection gear for those in need.
